Privacy & Security

At Relgil, we use technology to protect your data and your money. Here is exactly how we do it.

1. The Information We Need

To get your gadgets and appliances to you, we collect basic details like your name, phone number, and shipping address. We also collect your email to keep you updated on your order status. We don't sell this data; we only use it to make your shopping experience work.

2. Vendor Logistics & Data Sharing

Relgil is a marketplace of independent vendors. Since vendors handle their own logistics and delivery, we share your delivery address and contact number with the specific vendor you bought from. This is strictly so they can get your package to your doorstep.

3. The OTP: Your Final Security Layer

This is our most important security measure. We use a Delivery OTP (One-Time Password) system to protect your funds. Your payment is held securely by Relgil and is ONLY released to the vendor once you provide them with the OTP at the point of delivery. Giving the vendor your OTP is your digital signature that the order was received safely.

4. Protecting Your Money

We use secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways. Because we use the OTP system, the vendor never sees your bank details or credit card information. They only get paid after you confirm you have seen and accepted the product in person.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to process orders, resolve any issues between you and a vendor, and to stop fraud before it happens. If you choose, we’ll also send you news about the latest electronic deals—but you can opt out of that anytime.

6. Your Control & Rights

You own your data. You can update your profile or delete your account whenever you want through your dashboard. We only keep records that are required by law for tax and transaction history.

Crucial Security Warning

To ensure your protection, NEVER share your Delivery OTP with a vendor over the phone, or via WhatsApp. The OTP must only be handed over in person once you have inspected your item and are satisfied with the delivery.
